TUITION is due next week for Period 4 - November 19 to December 16. If you have not yet paid for Period 3, it will appear here with a $10.00 late fee added to your tuition.
DECEMBER SALE begins on Monday, December 3. All merchandise that is in stock, including leotards, will be 10% off through Thursday, Dec. 20. Please check out some of our special items: dance bags, legwarmers, pointe shoe accessories such as ouch pouches, jelly toes, and space packs.
COSTUME ORDERING TIME will be here sooner than we think. We will show you dance costume pictures the week of December 3. Costume payment will be due no later than Thursday, January 10. Costumes will be ordered on the afternoon of January 11. Only those paid in full will be ordered and there can be no late orders. Those doing solos, duos, etc. may use a costume from another year, a borrowed costume, a homemade costume, or a costume ordered this year. I will have the books in the studio the weeks of Dec. 3, 10, 17, and the week of January 7. No one doing a solo, etc. may use a class costume from this year.
ACROBATICS CLASSES The preacrobatic classes (30 minute classes) do not participate in the recital. The 45 minute classes are in the show. Leotards are purchased for these classes. They are ordered in February.
PERFORMANCE IN THE DANCE RECITAL Occasionally some children cannot be in the recital for various reasons. They do not have to discontinue classes. They can continue taking classes and rehearse with their class. It is good for children to learn something very well, as in the case of a dance routine, or to practice tumbling tricks at specific times in a specified time period (for example - a running cartwheel at a particular part of the music). We do need to know because of placement in their lines for the recital, but other than that, if the dance recital is a conflict for you, your child may still continue to take class and learn more dance steps and tumbling tricks.
DANCE RECITAL TENTATIVE DATES AND PLACE Showtime 2008 will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. Dress rehearsal will be held on Friday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. Both the rehearsal and the show will be at Metamora Township High School in the theatre.
SOLOS, DUOS, TRIOS See last months newsletter for more information. You should have turned in your form already. If you have not turned your form in, please do so before Thanksgiving. If you want to pick your own music, Mary must have your original CD before the Christmas break.
THANKSGIVING DAY No classes will be held on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 22. These classes may be made up or forfeited.
HOLIDAY BREAK The studio will be closed for two weeks over the Christmas holidays beginning on Friday, Dec. 21, and classes will resume on Monday, January 7. No one will pay for lessons during that two week period.
